Awantipora police continuing its public outreach programme, held interactive meeting with the community members at Police Station Pampore.
The interactive meeting was chaired by SDPO Awantipora. The meeting was attended by the respectable citizens including transporters, traders, businessmen, students and retired Government employees of different villages. The meeting was held to facilitate interaction with people and redress their grievances so as to create cordial police-public relationship.
During the meeting various social issues like drug menace and other grievances were raised by the participants. Participants were assured by the chairing officers that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be redressed on priority.
Community members hailed the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely. The participants also hailed the special drives of Police against bung cultivation, drug peddlers and action against persons involved in other social crimes.
