Bhalla cautions people against dream Merchants back with selling “unreal dreams” in J&K

Asserting that people of J&K will defeat the divisive and wrong policies of BJP Govt in present DDC elections, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today reiterated his appeal to people to ensure defeat of deceptive policies of BJP. He was addressing a public gathering at Nagari in favour of Congress candidate Veena Devi Prominent among those who addressed on the occasion include Sarpanch Rakesh Kumar, Toshi Rani Birbal, Anu Radna, Aradhana Angotra, Ravinder Kumar, Block President Satpal Bhandari, Kulbushan Kumar, Tersham Saini, Gagan Singh, Sanghi Ram, Hardev Singh, Subash Chander, Vijay Kumar, Pyara Lal, Minder Sharma, Dr. Surthi, Dr. Satish, Lal Din, Bashir Ahmed, Yasheen Hussain, Ranjeet Singh beside others.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla expressed confidence that people of Kathua will vote in large numbers against those who have badly failed to address their genuine and basic issues for the last six years and who were hell bent upon to divide people for electoral gains. But, at the same time, he felt confident that people have realized how much damage has been caused to Jammu and Kashmir state in every respect by BJP to serve their vested interests. Time has come to respond to their opportunist and divisive policies by ensuring their defeat in the elections, as that, will ensure peace and development in the State, he said.I would appeal the people of entire J&K to cast their vote in favour of Congress Party in large numbers to ensure that Communal, divisive and opportunist forces were defeat miserably.BJP owe an explanation to people for betraying them and playing with their emotions for the sake of coming into the power, adding that defeat of BJP in the present elections will be an appropriate responsive to their opportunism, exploitation and betrayal, he said.
PCC leader said that the poll promises of BJP have proved to be mere bluffs and people are fed up with the policies and sheer opportunism of party. The people could not see through their tactical game plan and gave BJP an unprecedented strength in Jammu.The BJP, which has been disowned by the people of Jammu province for all practical purposes, has nothing in its record book to show, tell and boast of. There is nothing that the BJP left for the people of Jammu province.The fact of the matter is that almost all the people of Jammu province have distanced themselves from the BJP. The BJP leadership knows that things are not bright for the party owing to its failure to fulfill even a single election promise,” he said. Bhalla today claimed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were fed up with the “bluffs and failures” of the BJP Govt and are suffering on all counts.He alleged that the BJP had gained power after “betrayal of the mandate” and its experiments cost too much to the people of Jammu and Kashmir who lost their identity as a state besides all safeguards to their land and jobs.
“The people will not spare BJP for its total failure and arbitrary and undemocratic decisions besides imposing heavy taxes, price hike and economic crisis and failures on health and medicare during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a result people died due to shortage of oxygen in hospitals,” Bhalla alleged.
“The only achievement of BJP is to create division and hatred in society which has disturbed our age old secular and social fabric,” he claimed and asked the people to maintain their brotherhood and unity and defeat all provocations to disturb peace. The honour of people of Jammu has been compromised and downgraded by the leaders who claimed to be the champion for the cause their case in the region. BJP climbed political ladder rising voice against discrimination with the people of this region. And, ended up doing some disparity with the people who gave them the power to rule the country,” he alleged.Congress leader accused the Government of playing the politics of obstinacy opposing the amendments to Jammu and Kashmir”s land laws allowing outsiders to own land in the Union Territory and termed the move as undemocratic.
He said the move does not follow the elementary canons of participatory democracy as no discussion was done with the stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir and the decision was enacted “by force”.
