Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) President Syed Altaf Bukhari on Monday refuted allegations of acting “B team” of Modi led BJP Government, saying the party doesn’t believe in selling dreams instead of telling truth to people in the name of Article 370.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Bukhari who formed his own party post-August 2019 refuted the allegation that JKAP is “B team” of BJP and is acting on the dictations of New Delhi. He was talking to media personnel in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on the sidelines of party convention ahead of DDC polls.
“JKAP is not against the newly formed People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration but is against the lies the alliance is spreading. Our party doesn’t believe in selling dreams to people in the name of Article 370”, Bukhari said.
He added the matter (Article 370) is currently sub-judice and JKAP wish and pray that the apex court will give the verdict that would accommodate the wishes and whims of people of J&K.
Lashing out at those dubbing JKAP “B team” of BJP, the former minister said that it is highly unfortunate that those who were part of coalition government with BJP in recent past in Jammu and Kashmir and also at present in Ladakh are leveling allegations on our party and added that all such allegation are unfounded as JKAP doesn’t believe in selling dreams which cannot be executed on ground.
To a query, Bukhari said that the forthcoming DDC polls are being conducted for the people’s welfare and development of J&K, and appealed people of Bandipora to venture out from their homes and cast their votes in favor of JKAP.
