As always, high breed flowers from different countries will be imported to decorate Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan during Navratras in Trikuta Hills of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources here said that Navratras will begin from October 17 and all arrangements are being reviewed especially in view of COVID-19.
“The yatra is in progress as per the SOPs and time to time guidelines issued by the government,”they said adding that Navratras are going to begin and the Shrine Board is reviewing the arrangements required.
yatra suspended on March 18 due to COVID-19 pandemic, resumed on August 16.
“This year also fresh flowers of high breed will be imported from Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Britain,” they said adding that these flowers remain fresh for many days and have wonderful fragrance.
Meanwhile a counter will also be established at Lakhanpur–the gateway to Jammu and Kashmir to facilitate the pilgrims so that they do not face any inconvenience.
However, Shrine Board may also give thought to resume services of pony, pithoo and palki.
Chief Executive Officer, Shrine Board, Ramesh Kumar said, “all arrangements will be made in view of Navratras and decoration of Bhawan and other temples will also begin in days.”
