The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is committed to develop all the underdeveloped hamlets of Jammu and Kashmir irrespective of caste, colour and creed to ensure all social and economic upliftment of the people. It was stated by former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa while kick-starting black-topping of a road at Preet Nagar, Ward No-45 of Gandhi Nagar assembly segment in the presence of Baldev Singh Billawaria (Chairman, JMC) and Raj Rani (Corporator).
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that it was a long pending demand of the local residents of area. He said that the Corporator Raj Rani has played a key role in highlighting the genuine issues of the people following which the matter was taken up with the PWD authorities and the work has finally been started today.
He further said that BJP is committed to implement ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas’ slogan, given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in letter and spirit. He said that the best way to win trust of the people is to address their genuine demands including basic facilities.
Billawaria while speaking on the occasion said that JMC is maintaining proper sanitation in and around the city and during corona pandemic it conducted many fumigation and sanitation drives to disinfect the city of temples.
The locals expressed their gratitude to the former MLC and Hon’ble corporator in ensuring early redressal to their genuine long pending demand in a time bound manner. They also extended support to the BJP in coming future.
The officials of PWD(R&B) wing were also present on the occasion.
