Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today conducted an extensive tour of Shanker Colony (Ward No-49), Channi Rama in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment as part of his public outreach programme.
During his visit to the area Randhawa interacted with the local residents. During his interaction with the residents of the area many issues pertaining to development were discussed and raised by the inhabitants of the locality.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President JP Nadda is committed to develop all hamlets irrespective of caste, colour and creed. He said that though there is no popular government in Jammu and Kashmir but still it is the duty of the leaders to visit their respective areas and raise genuine issues of the people for redressal.
“The slogan ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ given by the Prime Minister is being implemented in letter and spirit to win trust of general masses. A multi-facet development programme is in offing for the prosperous future of Jammu and Kashmir”, he added.
Randhawa after hearing the genuine issues of the people directed the officials of PWD, PDD and PHE, who were accompanying him, for immediate action to mitigate the sufferings of the people. He further assured the people that all other demands would be taken up with the concern agencies for early redressal.
The locals appreciated the sincere efforts of the former MLC in reaching out to them and extended support to the BJP in the coming future.
