Grieved over demise of Reyaz Bedar’s father
National Conference Senior Leader and District President Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Thursday hits out out at the Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel
for linking the release of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice-President Omar Abdullah from preventive detention was somehow related to Sachin Pilot.
In a statement issued here, the former MLA said that instead of hiding its failures and keeping its flock together, Congress is weaving fantastic stories.
Sheikh Ishfaq while referring to the reported interview of Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to a national daily said that Baghel like leaders are liabilities rather than assets for a party. He said that it was a political motivated statement used for conventional political posturing.
NC district president said that one after another political debacle has taken the toll of the Congress leaders, who seem to be clueless about their political destination.Who is responsible for the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh falling in March after 22 Jyotiraditya Scindia loyalist MLAs quit the Assembly and joined the BJP and Karnataka a little earlier.
Mr Jabbar further said that the political standing of Omar Abdullah does not need anybody’s crutches as he stands strong due to his commitment towards the people and their welfare.
Taking pity on the political immaturity of Bhagel, by giving a malicious spin to Rajasthan developments and release of Abdullah, Jabbar said that the Congress must better have some sort of introspection to ponder why the once premier national party is getting dwarfed as second fiddle to the regional parties.
Ishfaq said that the release of Omar Abdullah happened after judicial intervention was sought from the Supreme Court and the illegal order of detention of Abdullah was challenged.
It was untenable for Govt to defend their detention in courts.” Given the indefensible nature of the illegal detention order the same was revoked by the Government during the course of the proceedings before the Supreme Court,”.
Baghel had attributed Abdullah’s release by the Jammu and Kashmir Administration to him being brother-in-law of Sachin Pilot, who has led a revolt of Congress MLAs in Rajasthan putting the Congress government in jeopardy.
Meanwhile Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar has condoled the demise of Ghulam Qadir Bedar, father of Reyaz Ahmad Bedar, Incharge Pattan Constituency. He described the deceased as a noble soul who was known for his philanthropic activities in his area.
Jabbar has also condoled demise of wife Gh Mohidin Sheikh of Bamloora.
He has expressed his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families and also expressed solidarity with the them and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
