BJP leaders including Former State President BJP Sat Sharma (CA) along with Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta paid floral tributes to its leaders Sheikh Wasim Bari, His Father and brother who were killed mercilessly by terrorists on Wednesday. The program was held under the leadership of District President Jammu West Munish Khajuria. Leaders paid their tributes and remembered the work done by the martyr for strengthening the roots of the party in the valley. District General Secretaries Advocate Rajesh Gupta and Advocate Karan Sharma, Mandal Presidents Raveesh Mengi and Keshav Chopra managed the program. Senior BJP Leaders Rekha Mahajan, Shailja Gupta, Veenu Khanna, Dr Pardeep Mahotra, Ayodhya Gupta, Corporators Suneet Raina and Dinesh Gupta were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that Sheikh Wasim was one of the many youths who were working towards improving the overall condition of youths in the valley and he worked for improving the lifestyle of thousands of poor people who were benefited under various Central Government sponsored schemes. He said that a young leader and two of his family members sacrificed themselves for their nation and their brutal killings by anti national elements is another example of cowardness by Pakistan and its sponsored terrorist outfits. He condemned the brutal killings of BJP leaders and said that the dastardly step of terrorists and separatists cannot suppress the Nationalist voices in the valley and rising popularity of Nationalist party like BJP in the valley amongst the public has shaken the decades old violent and anti public policies of Terrorists and Separatists.
Chander Mohan said that the slain activists of the party were victims of the Pakistani sponsored terrorism which does not want Kashmir to flourish in any way. He said activists like Wasim have raised a hope for the youth of Kashmir who want to work for the betterment of Nation in every way.
Munish Khajuria said that the supreme sacrifice by Sheikh Wasim and his family members will not go in vain and said that every activist of BJP is Sheikh Wasim who is working for its motherland and serving the society in every way possible.
District and Mandal Office Bearers including Asha Gupta, Ramesh Khajuria, Jatinder Kour, Neeraj Gupta Tony, Ravi Kant Sharma, Pratibha Sharma, Jai Singh Chib, Amar Singh, Raman Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Sangeeta Verma, Sanjay Bhat, Raghuvir Kumar, Naresh Sharma, Radha Sharma, Yash Pal Shivgotra, Asha Sharma, Kamini Gupta, Kannav Gupta, Jatin Gupta, Dr Surjeet, Ramesh Angral, Vikas Bali, Vishal Mahajan, Sahil Sharma, Kuldeep Mahajan and others also paid their tributes to BJP leaders.
