The workers of DOGRA FRONT & SHIV SENA under the leadership of President Mr ASHOK GUPTA distributed Cold drinks, Chips and sugar to the BSF, CRPF, Police Jawans & Safaikaramcharis on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi.
In a year, 24 ekadashi are observed and out of these the Nirjala Ekadashi is the most sacred one. Nirjala Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, so all the pujas performed on this day are for Him to seek His blessings. Nirjala means water-less and as per Hindu calendar Nirjala Ekadashi falls on the eleventh lunar day of the waxing fortnight in the month of Jyestha.
Amid the mercury soaring to 44 degree cold drinks & Potatoes chips were given to the Security forces at the check Nakka near the Hari Niwas Hotel main gate.
Mr ASHOK GUPTA stated that in such hot and difficult Corona times these forces are standing on the forefront to protest us not only from Corona virus but as well as from Pakistan named pandemic as well. Without caring for there families and putting there lives on risk these security forces have saved us from all the problems like a pandemic, terrorism, Natural disasters like the one which stuck in Orissa and West Bengal.
He further stated that there is no better way to complete this auspicious day by quenching the thirst of our security men who are standing in this hot & humid climate wearing 16 kg body armour, 5 kg helmet and what not.
Cold drink and sugar was given to Safaikaramcharis near Rani Park thanking them for there tireless efforts in keeping our roads and streets clean. He further stated that on the auspicious day of Nirjala Ekadashi giving sweet drinks is considered a godly job and Safaikaramcharis are our frontline Corona warriors.
