In compliance with the directions issued by the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Budgam, the Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of DLSA Budgam today visited the residence of the deceased woman at Khansahib, Budgam.
The primary objective of the visit was to extend legal awareness and provide information regarding the legal aid services and welfare schemes available to the bereaved family, particularly the daughter of the deceased. During the interaction, the PLVs sensitized the family about their legal rights and the assistance available under various legal aid mechanisms, including support in matters relating to criminal proceedings.
The team also apprised the family about the free legal services and other support measures available for the welfare and protection of the minor daughter of the deceased. The family members were assured that the Legal Services Institutions, especially DLSA Budgam, stand committed to providing all necessary legal guidance and assistance during this difficult time.
The visit was conducted as part of the continuous efforts of DLSA Budgam to ensure access to justice and legal support for vulnerable and distressed families in society.
