
District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian in collaboration with the Indian Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), organized a comprehensive awareness programme today focusing on the NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayita Yojana 2025.
The event witnessed large-scale participation from ex-servicemen, serving Army personnel, and their families.
The programme was graced by several prominent Judicial and military dignitaries, including, Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary, Principal District & Sessions Judge (PD&SJ)/Chairman, DLSA Shopian; Mudasar Farooq, Secretary, DLSA Shopian, Col. Jaspreet Singh, 21 Sector, 44 RR.
During the event, Rafie Ahmad Ganie, Chief LADC Shopian provided a detailed explanation of the NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayita Yojana 2025. He highlighted the core pillars of the scheme, which include,
legal aid and advocacy support, financial assistance mechanisms, Welfare support tailored for the families of martyred soldiers, disabled soldiers and ex-servicemen in distress.
Additionally, Mehraj-ud-Din Wani, Chief LADC Pulwama and Secretary DLSA, Mudasar Farooq, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of community reach and legal literacy.
A major highlight of the programme was an interactive question-and-answer session. The PD&SJ alongside Chief LADC, patiently resolved queries from the audience, further enlightening the attendees on their fundamental legal rights and entitlements.
The programme concluded smoothly with a vote of thanks proposed by Col. Jaspreet Singh who reaffirmed the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Veer Parivar in seamlessly accessing their rightful legal benefits.
