Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam today kick-started the Self-Enumeration process for Census 2027 and flagged off an IEC (Information, Education & Communication) awareness van to spread awareness across the district regarding the ongoing self-enumeration initiative.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Self-Enumeration facility is aimed at making the Census process more accessible, transparent and citizen-friendly through digital participation. He urged people to actively take part in the exercise and complete their self-enumeration within the notified timeline.
To facilitate smooth and hassle-free registration, dedicated Help Desks have been established at Panchayat Bhawans, Patwar Halqas, Block Offices and Tehsil Offices across the district. Trained teams and digital support systems have also been put in place to assist citizens at every step of the process.
The IEC van will travel across various areas of the district to generate awareness among the public about the importance of Census 2027 and guide citizens regarding the self-enumeration process.
