DC kicks off self-enumeration process for Census 2027 in Ramban

Principal Census Officer and Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today formally kicked off the self-enumeration process for Census 2027 in the district, marking the commencement of public participation in the House Listing and Housing Census phase.

The self-enumeration process will remain open from MAY 17 to MAY 31, 2026, enabling citizens to voluntarily enumerate themselves and their households through the Census Self-Enumeration Portal/App.

The Deputy Commissioner urged all residents to participate in this national exercise and ensure that no individual or household is left uncounted. He emphasised that accurate census data plays a vital role in effective planning, development and delivery of public welfare schemes.

He further informed that the district administration has made all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the process across all House Listing Blocks, where enumerators have also been deputed for field verification.

“Your participation will help build an accurate database for informed policymaking and inclusive development,” the Deputy Commissioner stated.
