DC visits fire injury victims at GMC Anantnag Assures full support of administration for treatment, recovery

ANANTNAG, MAY 12: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat today visited Government Medical College (GDC), Anantnag and met the victims who sustained burn injuries during the unfortunate fire incident that occurred at a seminary located in main town during the intervenimg night of 11 and 12 May.

The DC was accompanied by ADC, AO GMC, Tehsildar Anantnag, MS AH GMC and other concerned officials.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the injured and enquired about the status of their health and recovery besides the quality of treatment and health care services being provided to them.

 He directed the medical staff to ensure the best possible healthcare facilities and proper medical attention for the patients so they recover soon.

On the occasion, Dr. Bilal expressed sympathy with the affected families and assured them of all possible support from the district administration. He prayed for the eternal peace of the soul of one victim who died in the tragic accident and speedy recovery of the injured persons.

In addition, the Deputy Commissioner inspected several sections of the hospital and interacted with the patients and their attendants. He enquired about the quality of healthcare services, the availability of essential medicines, and the punctuality of the medical staff.

The DC emphasized that providing seamless and patient-friendly healthcare is a top priority for the district administration. He took feedback from the public regarding hospital facilities and instructed the GMC authorities to maintain high standards of patient care and ensure that no patient faces any undue inconvenience.
