
Budgam, May 12: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a review meeting at the DC Office Budgam to assess the implementation and progress of Mission YUVA in the district.
During the meeting, a detailed review of various components of the Mission yuva was conducted, including enterprise development, capacity building, credit facilitation, awareness generation, training initiatives and market linkage support for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The DC emphasised the importance of Mission YUVA as a transformative initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, self-employment and sustainable livelihood opportunities among the youth. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all stakeholder departments, financial institutions and implementing agencies to ensure effective implementation of the programme at the grassroots level.
The DC directed officers to intensify awareness and outreach activities so that maximum eligible youth, women and self-help groups are motivated to avail the benefits under the Mission.
He further instructed concerned functionaries to ensure timely verification.
The DC called for strengthening training programmes and facilitating continuous guidance for beneficiaries to help them establish sustainable enterprises. He stressed the need for improving coordination with banking institutions for smooth credit facilitation and timely disposal of cases.
The DC further instructed the concerned agencies to focus on market linkage opportunities and encourage entrepreneurs to explore digital platforms and innovative business models for wider outreach and business growth.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Budgam, Vivek Agarwal; ADC Budgam, CPO Budgam, All SDMs, ACR, ACD, AD Employment, LDM,officers of line departments, representatives of banks and officials associated with Mission YUVA implementation in the district.
