
KISHTWAR, MAY 11: Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma today inaugurated the second phase of training for Census enumerators and supervisors here at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET).
The Phase-II training programme comprised two batches of 50 participants each from Zones Kishtwar and Nagseni who would be trained for the first phase of the Census operation including House Listing and Housing Census activities.
The training programme focused extensively on equipping the enumerators and supervisors with the necessary skills for a paperless census through the use of digital enumeration tools and applications. The participants were sensitized to the importance of accurate data collection, digital data entry, field verification and real-time monitoring mechanisms to ensure transparency, efficiency and reliability in the Census process.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma highlighted the significance of the Census as one of the most important national exercises for developmental planning and policy formulation. He urged the enumerators and supervisors to work with dedication, sincerity, and professionalism while carrying out their assigned responsibilities in the field.
During the technical sessions, resource persons imparted detailed training regarding enumeration procedures, use of mobile applications, data handling protocols, supervisory responsibilities and confidentiality measures to be maintained during the Census exercise.
DSEO (ADCO) Suresh Kumar Sharma; Tehsildar Headquarters Nirbhay Sharma; Principal DIET Tirath Lal and other faculty members of the institute, master trainers, supervisors and enumerators from twin Zones were present on the occasion.
