
JAMMU, APRIL 4, 2026: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, has expressed profound grief and deep sorrow over the passing of Babu Noor Muhammad Noor, a revered figure of the Gujjar-Bakerwal tribe, who passed away today.
In his condolence message, the Minister described late Babu Noor Muhammad Noor as a person of immense wisdom, deep cultural rootedness whose life embodied the rich traditions, values and ethos of the Gojri-speaking community.
He was a great poet and writer, whose works earned him immense popularity among the tribe.
His passing, the Minister said, is not only a personal loss to his family but also a significant loss to all those who cherish and uphold the cultural and social heritage of tribal communities.
The Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to noted tribal activist and Secretary Kala Kendra, Dr. Javaid Rahi, and other members of the bereaved family.
He prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the grieving family to bear this irreparable loss.
