H&H department Bandipora organizes One-Day Capacity Building Programme under RAMP at Hajin

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 05: Department of Handicrafts and Handloom (H&H), Bandipora organized a one-day Capacity Building Programme under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative at Town Hall, Municipal Committee Hajin.

The programme was conducted for artisans and weavers associated with GI, ODOP, DEH and other unique handicraft and handloom products of the Kashmir Division.

Assistant Director Handicrafts & Handloom Bandipora, District Nodal Officer JKEDI Bandipora, and senior faculty member JKEDI, besides other departmental officials were present on the occasion.

Experts and faculty members from JKEDI sensitized the participants about the importance of innovative designing, packaging, branding and colour schemes for developing market-oriented products, besides apprising them of new marketing strategies.

The Assistant Director Handicrafts emphasized the significance of GI labelling, QR coding of products and the role of e-market platforms in enhancing the reach of handicrafts and handloom products at national and international levels.

A large number of artisans and weavers participated in the programme with enthusiasm.
