
GANDERBAL, JANUARY 30: A solemn two minutes’ silence was observed on Friday across Ganderbal District to pay rich tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India.
In this connection, the main event was organised at Mini-Secretariat Ganderbal at 11:00 am under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Jatin Kishore, joining the Union Territory level observation virtually.
The observance was marked with dignity and reverence, as officers, officials and staff members participated in the tribute, remembering the supreme sacrifices made by the brave sons and daughters of the nation.
The silence was observed as a mark of respect and gratitude towards the martyrs whose courage and dedication paved the way for India’s independence.
The Deputy Commissioner on the occasion highlighted the importance of remembering the sacrifices of freedom fighters and reaffirmed the collective commitment to uphold the values of unity, peace, and patriotism.
