Jammu, March 2, 2025: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh- JKPS, visited Police Station Bakshi Nagar to review the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) data feeding process. During the visit, SSP Jammu instructed all Investigation Officers and Munshi of Police Station Bakshi Nagar to feed data themselves, ensuring accuracy and efficiency and further directed not to depend only on CCTNS operators. Government of India is moving to digital policing from conventional policing.
Additionally, SSP Jammu directed the merger of Munshiyat with the CCTNS lab, eliminating the need for a separate room for CCTNS. This move aims to streamline processes of learning by Munshi’s and other IOs, further enhancing productivity.
In a bid to ensure uniform implementation, all Station House Officers (SHOs) of the North Zone SHO Peermitha, Nawabad , Janipur etc. were called and instructed on the new directives from senior officers.
This review and subsequent instructions underscore the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s commitment to leveraging technology for effective policing and efficient data management.
