Poonch Police Attach Properties of Terrorists to Dismantle Terror Ecosystem

Poonch, March 2, 2025 – In a significant move to curb terrorism and dismantle its support structures, Poonch Police have attached four (04) properties spanning 14.8 Kanal of land, valued at approximately Rs 28 lakhs, in villages Qasba and Kirni of District Poonch.

 

These properties belonged to three local terrorists operating from Pakistan:

 

Najab Din, son of Mohamda, resident of Village Kirni, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch.

Mohd. Latif, son of Mohamda, resident of Village Kirni, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch.

Mohd. Bashir alias Tikka Khan, son of Bahadur Ali, resident of Village Qasba, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch.

All three individuals had earlier fled to Pakistan/POK and are actively engaged in promoting terrorism, disturbing peace, and threatening social harmony in Poonch and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

 

The action was taken in compliance with the Hon’ble Court’s order under Sections 82/83 of CrPC, related to FIR No. 202/2022 registered at Police Station Poonch. This step underscores the firm commitment of Poonch Police to taking strong action against individuals involved in terrorism and activities that disrupt social harmony.

 

The attachment proceedings were carried out by a police team led by DySP Headquarters Poonch Sh Neeraj Sharma, SHO Police Station Poonch insp Rashid, and Naib-Tehsildar Poonch, along with revenue officials. The execution of this action was witnessed by local residents of villages Qasba and Kirni.

SSP Poonch Sh Shafket Hussain JKPS stated that Poonch Police remain steadfast in their resolve to root out terrorism and ensure peace and stability in the region.
