Jammu: Life is affected due to rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. Rail, air and road services are affected due to bad weather. At the same time, many areas of Doda, Anantnag are seen covered with a white sheet of snow.
After fresh snowfall in Bhaderwah valley in Doda, Jammu, a white sheet of snow has spread.
According to the Meteorological Center Srinagar, there are chances of heavy rain and snowfall again on March 3. The weather will continue to fluctuate in the coming days. There have been incidents of stone falling, landslides and soil collapse at many places on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Kishtwar Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Shavan said, “Due to snowfall in the last 2 days, roads have been damaged at some places. Repair work is going on. We have inspected all the areas and repair work is going on. There is a full stock of ration, people will be given ration for the month of March. Talking about electricity, the restoration work is going on fast.”
