Jammu, 12 Dec 2024: A group of 43 students from class 11th and 12th of, Govt. Model Higher Secondary School Samba visited Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at Central University of Jammu under the mentorship of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain. The educational visit aimed to provide the students with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and advancements in the field of computer science.
The visit was coordinated by Mr. Zakir Ahmad Sheikh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and IT, along with dedicated research scholars from the department. The students were taken on a guided tour of key facilities, including the Central Library, Computer Lab, and the specialized Cyber-Physical Systems Lab.
During the visit, students were introduced to emerging trends and advanced research areas in computer science, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cyber security. They also gained insights into how IT labs facilitate research and innovation.
The visit concluded with an inspiring note, encouraging students to pursue higher studies and careers in technology-driven domains. The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to fostering academic collaboration and promoting technological literacy among young learners.
