In Democracy there’s No Alternative to Electoral Rights of the People: AJKPC

Srinagar, 15/Dec/2023: Asking the government to take immediate steps to hold elections in Jammu and Kashmir, All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference(AJKPC) has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to respect the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Today while addressing a press conference here in Srinagar, Anil Sharma, President of AJKPC along with other functionaries of the organization said that government should not test the patience of people of J & K and must give a deadline for holding elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

The assembly elections are due for several years and now even the term of elected representatives of urban local bodies have expired and soon even the tenure of elected Panchces, Sarpanches and BDCs would be completing thus it would be injustice with the people of J & K to deprive them of their right to choose their representative.
