Restoration of ‘democratic system’ sought : Yashpal KundalL

Ramgarh: Senior Leader of Aam Aadmi Party and former minister Yashpal kundal on Tuesday demanded holding of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir so that the suffering of the people could be addressed. “The J&K is under LG administration’s rule and it has discriminated against all sections of society without considering their demands. As the authorities have drastically failed to work on the ground, it has resulted in a very slow pace of developmental work,” said Yashpal Kundal who addressed a monthly workers’ meeting in Ramgarh. Kundal during the meeting directed the workers to work together to resolve the issues of the people by highlighting them to the authorities. Kundal said that the way corruption is increasing in the UT, people have no hope from the LG administration. “Unemployment has crossed all limits in the UT and is unprecedentedly high as compared to other states of the country. Prices of essential commodities are at peak, private sector is suffering, daily wage workers, PM package workers, reserved category workers , Anganwadi workers, home guards, Rehbar-e-Khel, old age pension restoration seekers, various government jobs and others are on the streets and the failure of the authorities to handle the issues of the people has turned Jammu city into a protest city ” He said that the LG administration should be replaced with an elected government by holding assembly elections in J&K and restoring statehood.
