CORRUPTS SHOULD PACK
BAGS
- KoAs Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s administration has pledged to root out rampant corruption from J&K and subsequently tightened the noose around the unprincipled irrespective of the positions which they were holding, the message has gone down the line that the time has come for the delinquents to pack their bags because their time is over in the Union Territory. In this context, this time the CBI has initiated a major crackdown against the paper leak scamsters after LG’s decision to handover all such cases to the premier investigating agency after genuine aspirants of SI, JE and FAA examinations rued against malpractices in the aforesaid selection process giving undue benefit to selected few, who were either blue-eyed or had the capacity to buy papers, which were sold in open market as if there was no law and order, and the law implementing agencies were deaf and dumb. Consequently, show grit and guts, the LG has precisely taken the right path and handed over the investigations to central probing agency and rest is the history. Already, the LG’s administration had cancelled the aforesaid three exams and has decide to go afresh but simultaneously CBI is doing its job meticulously and after reining in the culprits of SI exams, it has turned its focus on those who marred the FAA examination by leaking the papers. Reportedly, over 30 locations were raided in this connection as the government is after each and every corrupt official and the illegal beneficiaries, who had given bad name to the administration and the Union Territory. There is no doubt that the LG is toeing anti-graft policy in J&K without any exception and those involved in corruption will not be allowed to go scot-free as every effort is being made to put culprits behind bars to deter others from indulging in corrupt practices, which used to be common during pre-August 5, 2019 times. It is pertinent to mention that FAA was the third examination conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) which had been leaked by the touts in connivance with the SSB officials and sold to candidates appearing for the exams at heavy prices. Prior to this, two papers of Sub Inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and JE Civil were also leaked and sold.
