JP Nadda will remain BJP President till next Lok Sabha elections, tenure extended till June 2024

Delhi 17 Jan 2023: The tenure of BJP national president JP Nadda has been extended. Home Minister Amit Shah said that the National Executive has made a proposal for JP Nadda today. Rajnath Singh has kept this proposal. All BJP members have accepted it. JP Nadda’s term as BJP President is being extended till June 2024.

Amit Shah said that I am confident that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party’s national president JP Nadda, the BJP will win in 2024 with an even bigger majority. He said that once again Narendra Modi will lead the country as PM.
The term was ending on January 20
JP Nadda’s three-year term was ending on January 20 this year. Prior to this, he was made the working president of the party in July 2019. After that, on 20 January 2020, he took charge of the party as full-time president. According to the constitution of the BJP, there is a provision to give two terms of three consecutive years to the national president. Nadda, originally from Himachal Pradesh, was born on 2 December 1960 in Patna, the capital of Bihar.
