The information shared by Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways V K Singh about change in technology to construct highways using prefabricated material in the coming days will revolutionize the entire gamut because the change proposed has the capability to accomplish things in very less time and with ultimate convenience. The use of prefabricated material for making roads would considerably increase the highway construction pace to 100-150 km a day from the present 33 km thus changing the contours of construction of pathways connecting big and small cities in the country. As per the statement of the aforesaid minister, the prefabricated material to be used to construct the roads and highways will get ready in the factories and thereafter shall be transported to the road construction site minimizing the pollution levels which currently is a big problem faced by the governments as highway construction is a big source of pollution leading to ailments of different kinds among those who come across this hazardous outcome of construction. The government should ensure that such changes could take place as soon as possible because transforming the roads network is utmost necessary for bringing about colossal development and that too with less or no pollution will prove to be a real game changer therefore what is being envisaged right now should be executed without wasting even a jiffy to add convenience in the life of people moving on or along these under construction highways and also those who are part of these projects and are subjected to face pollution and other factors which are detrimental to mental and physical health. Plantation on large scales can also counter pollution but the decision to go for prefabricated material to build highways is flawless and should be adopted as soon as possible because presently India is passing through a transitional phase where there is lot of construction going on to create basic infrastructure for a modern India and use of aforesaid technology can make things work in a wonderful manner and therefore switching over to the same is the key to efficiency and good health of the people.
