J&K: 17 leaders including former deputy CM Tara Chand rejoins Congress

Delhi 06 Jan: 17 leaders including Tara Chand, former minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, former MLA Balwan Singh, Naresh Sharma, Vinod Sharma, MK Bhardwaj joined the party. During this, KC Venugopal warmly welcomed all the leaders.

All these including former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Tara Chand have once again joined the Congress in Delhi. State leaders returned to the party in the presence of party general secretary KC Venugopal, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, AICC in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir affairs Rajni Patil.

17 leaders including Tara Chand, former minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, former MLA Balwan Singh, Naresh Sharma, Vinod Sharma, MK Bhardwaj joined the party. During this, KC Venugopal warmly welcomed all the leaders.
In support of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, some senior leaders including Tara Chand resigned from the State Congress and joined the Democratic Azad Party (DAP). But after some time these leaders were expelled from the party on the charge of working against DAP.
