RIGHT APPROACH
The abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A, and bifurcating the erstwhile state of J&K into UTs of Ladakh and J&K were not enough to restore the pristine glory of the region because there were so many other issues which were required to be tackled simultaneously to recreate J&K which was known as the crown of India during earlier times. The steps envisaged by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were so carefully conceived that in just a couple of years the situation has taken so many pleasant turns in the region that hope for peace and development has rekindled among the hearts of the people of J&K especially the Valley as they have started to come out openly in support of government initiatives especially to ensure peace and end of terrorism. The statement of LG Manoj Sinha in this regard that people now are hitting streets against violence in Kashmir is the testimony to the fact that Modi Government has done the magic in J&K and the next step would be more startling as none in the politics of the country had ever thought that Kashmir problem will solved in such a peaceful manner whereby not even a single bullet has been fired during the scrapping of Articles 370 and 35A, and transformation of erstwhile state into two UTs. One can say with affirmation that the approach adopted by the PM Modi in tackling the Kashmir imbroglio is precisely very perfect and failsafe. Though the work has been half done but the LG Manoj Sinha’s assertion that residual terrorism will be finished and Jammu and Kashmir will soon be rebuild to restore its historic place in the country speak it all about the future of the place which remained in the news for more than three decades for all the bad reasons as not only separatists were causing disturbances but rogue Pakistan also tried a lot to keep the pot boiling in the region. LG Sinha has cleared the clouds of the doubts with regard to Kashmir by concluding the whole gamut by saying that opposition to individuals is understandable but none will be allowed to oppose India. And this is the crux, the time has gone when people opposed the country and the successive governments used to cuddle the anti-nationals in one way or the other. Under the incumbent dispensation there is no space for an entity to even utter a word against the country as India is the top priority of the Modi Government and everything else comes later.
