3 Kashmiri Pandits among 14 minorities killed in J&K so far in 2022: MoS Home

The winter session of the Parliament has started from today. The current situation and security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir was also discussed during the winter session of the Parliament today. During this, the government, while talking about the improvement in the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, has taken note of the terrorist incidents and terrorism that have happened in Jammu and Kashmir since last 1 year. While giving information on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai put forth the action taken by the security forces to eliminate the terrorists and to stop terrorism. He added that 180 terrorists were killed, Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai, while referring to the target killing happening in the Kashmir Valley for some time, said that it is now proving difficult for terrorists to roam freely and carry out terrorist incidents, that is why terrorists is now carrying out target killing by taking a soft target. While Presenting figures in this regard Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said that till November this year, a total of 14 people belonging to the minority community have been targeted by the terrorists, included 3 Kashmiri pandits. Meanwhile, the Minister of State for Home said that 8 journalists working in Kashmir were threatened online by terrorists and four of them have resigned from their jobs for allegedly reporting on terrorist activities and incidents. Nityanand Rai said that there have been a total of 123 terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir till November 2022 and 31 security personnel have lost their lives while on duty, while 31 civilians have also lost their lives.
