Farooq Abdullah said- today he is happy not to be a part of Pakistan

Former President of National Conference and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that we have never joined hands with Pakistan. Jinnah came to meet my father, but we refused to shake hands with him. We are happy for it. Because people in Pakistan are not empowered today. Dr. Farooq was speaking at a gathering organized on the occasion of the inauguration of a factory at Akhnoor, about 25 km from Jammu.

Former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq also said that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be united again and Jammu and Kashmir will again become a complete state. He also expressed anger over taking away the statehood from Jammu and Kashmir and dividing it into two Union Territories. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir want early elections so that they can have an elected government.

Farooq Abdullah said that at present the inflation is on the peak limit. No one has control over inflation. The prices of fruits, vegetables, gas cylinders are increasing continuously. People are also worried about inflation. We also want elections to be held soon in Jammu and Kashmir. People should have their own MLA who listens to them. Farooq said that the MLAs also keep in touch with the people. He has to win the election next time also. He said that at present bureaucracy dominates in Jammu and Kashmir. Babu people do not listen to the people and the work of the people is not being done.

He said who was here when NC came to power again in the year 1996. There were guns going off all the time. We handled this Jamaat. Schools were closed, there were no bridges. Everything was over. We again put this state back on track. We will strengthen this princely state again and run it along with the country. Regarding the elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that he will contest the assembly elections.
