CLARION CALL

CLARION CALL

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha taking a firm stand against the corruption has given a clarion call to eradicate completely this scourge from the Union Territory of J&K. As the UT is celebrating the Vigilance Awareness Week, this strong message from the top hierarchy of the seat of power holds much significance and therefore people should rest assured that soon the corruption will be rooted out from the region and there will be complete transparency, accountability and dedication in the working of government at all the levels. The recent steps taken by the LG Sinha in recruitment scams in the UT are the testimony to the fact that time of corrupt has gone and the only place for them is behind bars. Though symbolical but the crusade against
corruption has been started by LG Sinha by administering the integrity pledge to Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Heads of Departments, senior officers and officials. It is good omen for Jammu and Kashmir that a personality like LG Sinha has been appointed to look after the affairs of the UT because under his realms things have changed towards betterment and one and all have resolved
to build corruption-free J&K. LG Sinha has also warned the corrupt in the UT of strict legal action claiming that not a single entity indulging in this would be spared. This was the necessary message for the corrupt and delinquent as they used to rule the roost in the past due to weak dispensations of the leadership which allegedly was also corrupt. One thing is sure that the most powerful weapon against corruption is active citizenry therefore all people should join hands and pledge to root this menace out of the system.
The time is the proof that PM Narendra Modi’s call on zero tolerance against corruption on the ground has brought transparency in governance and is ensuring that the benefits of good governance reach the last person in the queue without any discrimination. This thing has been achieved after a long struggle and therefore the people should now act as eyes and ears of the government to ensure that corruption doesn’t sprout again in the UT as this is imperative for making J&K a modern and progressive State where equal opportunities can be given to the people without any prejudice or partiality.
