Kashmir Target Killing: Two UP workers killed in grenade attack

Within about 60 hours of the killing of Kashmiri Hindu Purna Krishna Bhatt in Shopian, South Kashmir, terrorists targeted workers from other states in yet another audacity. The terrorists attacked with a grenade inside the rooms of the workers living in Harmen, Shopian. Two workers of Kanpur have died in this attack. Confirming the workers killed in the attack, the police said that one of them is named Munish Kumar and the other is Ram Sagar.

After this attack, the security forces have arrested Imran Bashir Ganai, a hybrid terrorist of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. He is said to be a resident of Hermen. At present, his interrogation is going on.

According to ADGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar, intensive search operation is still going on by cordoning off the entire area. He told that the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist who was arrested had hurled the grenade. According to the police further investigation and raids are on. 

The incident happened around 12:30 in the night. It is being told that the workers of Kanpur and other states were sleeping in their rooms at night after paying daily wages throughout the day. Then the terrorists got the opportunity and fired the grenade inside the room. During this, two workers were badly injured in the loud explosion. The terrorists fled from the spot after the attack.

The police and local people who reached the spot immediately rushed the injured people to the hospital, where both were declared brought dead. It is being told that the deceased have been identified as Munish Kumar and Ram Sagar. Earlier, the names of both were being told as Munir Ahmed and Sagar Ali. After this attack, the security forces have started a search operation in the entire area.
