DEVELOPMENT AS NEVER BEFORE
As the things have started settling down in the Union Territory of J&K after abrogation of Article 370, restoration of peace and above all people coming openly in support of BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after getting satisfied with the fact that whatever is being accomplished in J&K is for their betterment and good life. Assessing things in the J&K, the figures which are coming to fore are gigantic and testimony to the fact that the development envisaged by the government for the Union Territory is kingsize and the people of the region have never seen such a thing in the entire history of the Jammu and Kashmir. As the things with regard to strikes, violence and stone pelting have been improved, the development process in the UT has automatically started pacing-up with projects worth thousands of crores being launched and many lingering ones getting completed as never before. The transformation of Jammu and Srinagar into Smart Cities is another big leap of the BJP government in ushering in new era of development in the hilly region which traditionally used to face step-motherly treatment of all the dispensations in the past as the people sitting at helm of affairs used to make excuses of difficult terrain, funds shortage and many more. If a person takes a round of Jammu as well as Srinagar cities, the change carried out by the BJP government in the centre is visible with bridges on Tawi river sparkling during night time, fly-overs maintained fully and the walls of the city carved out beautifully with different and meaningful themes. Freaking out in Kashmir was at one point of time next to impossible but today cinemas, malls and many other similar avenues have been ensured and the tourists have started thronging the place as it used to be in 60s and 70s. the situation has been fully described by the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale as he maintained that development and peace in Jammu and Kashmir is the top priority of the Modi Government and the same is evident now with the visit of lakhs of tourists this year and the beginning of investment processes in thousands of crores in different sectors in Jammu and Kashmir for the welfare of the people. There is no doubt that infrastructure has got a boost under Modi Government and the development scenario has been changed drastically.
