After the end of Pitru Paksha, Shardiya Navratri started from Monday and the devotees got absorbed in the worship of Mata Rani. On the first Navratra on Monday, where devotees worshiped Mata Rani in their homes, thousands of devotees reached the temples and took the blessings of Goddess Bhagwati.
Since morning people reached the water sources and with full devotion and faith for fresh water, leaves, sand reached the houses and worshiped them by setting up the Kalash. Maa Shailputri is worshiped on the first day of Navratri. A unique influx of faith and reverence is being seen everywhere. Devotees started thronging the temples since morning.
Sharadiya Navratra will be celebrated like a grand festival this time. Devotees from all over the country and abroad, excited after getting freedom from the shadow of corona infection after two years, are desperate to have darshan of Maa Vaishno Devi on Navratri.
The special thing is that the facilities for the devotees have been increased this time as compared to the previous years. These range from Radio Frequency Identity Card (RFID) to prepaid service for pithus or free horse and battery car service for the differently-abled.
The nine-day long Shobha Yatra in Katra will give a glimpse of the cultural heritage of the entire country including Jammu and Kashmir. For the first time in the royal palanquin, the idol of Mother Vaishno Devi will be adorned and adorn the procession.
