J&K: SIA raids many places in Kashmir in terror funding case, many important evidences found

The State Investigation Agency (SIA) conducted raids at several places in Central and North Kashmir on Saturday morning in connection with the Terror Funding, Narco Terrorism case. Various teams of SIA along with local police and CRPF personnel reached Srinagar, Budgam, Kupwara districts and raided several places simultaneously. According to the information received so far, during these students, the team has got many important evidences related to terror funding and narco terrorism.

Police said that the officials of the investigating agency with the help of local police and CRPF conducted raids in Srinagar, Budgam, Kupwara districts. At present, investigation is going on in all the areas. These raids have been done in houses, hotels and other commercial buildings. It is being told that a team of SIA is also investigating in 219 of Almands Hotel located in Lal Mandi area of ​​Srinagar. Gulzar Ahmed Mir son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Kishtwar is living in this room. Mir is a Soil Assistant in the Agriculture Department.

Similarly, another team of SIA reached the house of Bashir Ahmed Dar son of Ghulam Ahmed, a resident of Batpora Kachwari in Budgam district of Central Kashmir and started search. No family member is allowed to leave the house till the search is done. Outsiders are also not being allowed to enter the house.

Confirming the raid by the SIA, a police officer said that till now it has been learned that this search operation has been launched on the basis of interrogation of some people associated with narco terrorism after their arrest. Many people are expected to be involved in this matter. Officials said the SIA has so far found that the money raised from cross-border drug smuggling is being used to finance terrorists, separatists, activists of terrorist organizations and the families of the slain terrorists, officials said. During the investigation, he has also found many evidences in this regard.
