This is the third visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Jammu and Kashmir after August 5, 2019 and second during the current year. Former minister Sunil Sharma said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present his side on various issues of Jammu and Kashmir. He will also mention the issues related to the development of Jammu and Kashmir and the work being done by the central government for restoration of peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
Responding to a question regarding elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Sunil Sharma said that BJP is ready for elections any time. When elections are to be held in Jammu and Kashmir, it is the prerogative of the Election Commission. When the election will come, it can announce the election when it thinks it appropriate.
He said that it is unfair to link the visit of the Union Home Minister with the possible assembly elections in the state in the near future. This is his regular visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
