The meeting of the branch council of Northern Railway Men’s Union Jammu branch was held in Udhampur railway station premises. In which all the officials of the branch participated, in which the railway employees had a special discussion on the local burning issue, the meeting was chaired by the branch president SB Das. Of. Addressing the meeting, Branch Minister Com Shamber Singh said that the Northern Railway Men’s Union is such a group that neither has any relation with any political parties nor any sense of regionalism. N. R. M. U. has done a lot of work for the workers till date and has to get the work done even further, so all of you are united in NR.M.U. Help strengthen the organization. In the meeting, the railway workers strongly raised the demand for the implementation of the old pension scheme by canceling the new pension scheme. Recently, the announcement of the restoration of old pension by the Jharkhand government was described by all the officials present as a commendable and welcome step, and not only hoped but expressed full confidence that in the coming days all the state government and central government would restore the old pension. In the meeting, the problem of railway accommodation, employees’ leave, shortage of staff in all departments as well as cuts in many facilities of the employees were also discussed. In the meeting, Branch Secretary Com Shamber Singh invited the employees to participate in the martyrdom day to be held in Pathankot on 19th September. During the meeting, Mohd Safiq Ahmed told U. r.m.u.quid n. R. M. U. subscribed to. The representative of the porters, Vijay Kumar handed over the copy of his demands in the name of Divisional Secretary to Branch Secretary Com Shamber Singh. Com Gaurav Dogra from Telecom Department was appointed today as Assistant Branch Secretary by filling up the vacant posts for smooth running of the organization, which was supported by all.Branch President S. B. Das, Branch Vice President Brijmohan, Rampal Sharma, JP Singh, Ranveer Kumar, Branch Deputy Secretary Satinder Singh, Amit Kerni, Prakash Chandra along with Abhishek Tikku, Chandra Sharma, Subham Arya also addressed. At the end of the meeting, branch president SB Das said that our union is fighting for the facilities of the employees every moment and will always remain so.
