Former MP Kara hit back at Azad, said – he had brought the proposal to make Rahul the president

Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and former MP Tariq Hameed Qara on Saturday hit back at Ghulam Nabi Azad for targeting All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president Rahul Gandhi, saying that Rahul Gandhi should be the president. He had brought the proposal to make it. Everyone approved of him. Things began to change for Azad in the Congress after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear at the time of his departure from the Rajya Sabha that Azad would not retire like this, he would soon be assigned to a special mission.

Speaking to reporters here today, Kara said that Azad has been working independently in Jammu and Kashmir for the past few months. Questions are constantly being raised on the leadership of the Congress. I do not understand why he chose this time to resign when the Congress President is out due to health reasons.

Qara also accused Ghulam Nabi Azad of not mentioning ideological differences anywhere in his letter, making it clear that it was purely on personal grounds. This indicates their differences with the party’s ideology. His resignation was not surprising to me as Azad was given a tearful farewell after his retirement in the Rajya Sabha in a new accompaniment. The PM had also said that we will not let Azad go to waste and he will soon be appointed for a specific mission and task. Azad has been working independently in J&K and has been questioning the leadership of the Congress since then.

Targeting Rahul Gandhi is contrary to facts as Azad created entire presidential documents for him and played a vital role in ensuring the post to Rahul Gandhi. Even Azad had said that Rahul should be given the right to choose his members on his own and appoint CWC members.

Questioning the timing of Azad’s resignation, Kara asked why he did not raise this question between 2013 and 2018 when Rahul Gandhi was serving as the party president. “If he is a morally empowered politician, he should have resigned at that time. He had enough time to show his displeasure, but at that time he didn’t.

He said that with the resignation of Ghulam Nabi Azad, the BJP has once again succeeded in its fragmentation process. Because Azad and his supporters are going to break away from the party and form a new political party. Kara said that the leaders and workers who believe in the ideology of Congress will continue to work for the benefit of the party.
