Section 144 enforced to prevent demonstrations/dharnas on all the four bridges of Jammu city,

On the first day of imposition of Section 144 on the four bridges of the city passing over Jammu Tawi, the police have fortified these bridges. Strict police guard has been put on the bridges so that members of any organization or any other party do not reach there and start a demonstration.

On these bridges, an order was issued to impose Section 144 on behalf of the District Administration Jammu on Wednesday. Gone. Traffic is also affected here due to dharna, demonstrations and sometimes the city gets stuck in jam for hours. At the same time, after this order was issued, the police stopped the hunger of the members of the Yuva Rajput Sabha, which was going on the Maharaja Hari Singh memorial near Tawi bridge. The police have also directed the strike to be held elsewhere.

The members of the Young Rajput Sabha, demanding leave on the Maharaja’s birthday, had been on hunger strike since Monday, while they would get up at night to leave. But after the imposition of Section 144 on Wednesday evening, when the members had left at night, the police did not allow them to gather there in the morning. After the imposition of Section 144, not more than four people can gather at one place, due to which only three members could reach near the memorial.

Instructions have also been given by the administration to SSP Jammu to make Section 144 effective, due to which the police is not showing any relaxation on the first day. Apart from this, the police have also given instructions to the exhibition ground to prevent the demonstrations from coming on the road. The outside has been tightly guarded so that no organization from inside can be successful in blocking the exit.
