Traumatic accident outside Jammu railway station, speeding SUV crushes Delhi girl, five injured

 A Delhi-based woman and a girl child have died after being hit by a speeding SUV car just outside the Jammu railway station. Five people including three family members were injured in this accident along with the dead woman and child. Inspector of Income Tax Department is also among the injured.

The accident happened in front of the main gate just outside the Jammu railway station on Monday morning. There was also a lot of movement of people outside the station in the morning and at the same time a speeding SUV reached there and it caught seven people near the gate. According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the SUV could not control it and ran over seven people outside the gate.

In this accident, seven-year-old Anamika daughter Suraj, who came from Anandpur, Delhi with her family to visit Mata Vaishno Devi, died on the spot, while Anamika’s 12-year-old brother Aditya Kumar, 64-year-old Lalita Devi wife Shantanu Mandal, 65-year-old Urmila Devi Wife Bhupendra Mandal all residents of Anandpur, Delhi, Inspector in Income Tax Department, 33 year old Ravindra Yadav son Jugal Yadav resident Haryana, 29 year old Dewana Sahu son Narayan Sahu resident of Maharashtra and 40 year old Bhupendra Singh son Prabhat Singh resident Netra Kothe Jammu were injured.

After the accident, everyone was taken to GMC Hospital for treatment by the police where the girl Anamika was declared brought dead while the treatment of the injured started. Lalita Devi sustained serious injuries in the accident and she too succumbed to her injuries during treatment. After this, the GRP police took possession of the bodies of both the deceased and reached the GMC mortuary for post-mortem and started investigating the matter. According to the police, all the other injured have minor injuries. After this accident, the police have taken possession of the SUV vehicle and registered a case against its driver.
