In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, 704 new cases of corona infection have been confirmed. 210 new cases have been reported from Jammu division and 494 from Kashmir division. One patient has also died in Jammu division. The Health Department teams conducted 13952 Covid tests during the last 24 hours. Of these, the report of 704 patients was found positive. 124 new cases have been reported from Jammu district, ten from Udhampur, ten from Rajori, 14 from Doda, eight from Kathua, two from Samba, 22 from Kishtwar, nine from Poonch, nine from Ramban and two from Reasi district.
Talking about Kashmir division, the maximum number of 205 new cases have been reported from Srinagar district. 131 new cases have been reported from Baramulla, 41 from Budgam, 42 from Kupwara, 37 from Anantnag, 24 from Bandipora, seven from Ganderbal and seven from Kulgam district.
Although 555 patients have also recovered, but due to more number of patients getting infected than those who have recovered, the active cases in the state have jumped to 4859. The number of corona infection patients in Jammu division has reached 1788 and in Kashmir division the number of active patients has reached 3071. At the same time, the death toll due to infection has increased to 4771.
