Panthers Supremo Prof. Bhim Singh dies after prolonged illness, Lt Governor expressed grief, funeral will be held in Ramnagar tomorrow


Jammu’s stalwart leader and founder of Panthers Party, Prof. Bhim Singh passed away. 80 year old Prof. Singh was ailing for a long time. For a few days, he was admitted to the Super Specialty Hospital in Jammu. While there, he breathed his last during treatment. There was a wave of mourning in the political corridor on his death. Pro. Bhim Singh was active in politics from student life. Later he became a strong voice for the cause of Jammu. He made his own special identity on his own strength. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed deep condolences on the death of Bhim Singh. Prof. Bhim Singh’s last rites will be performed tomorrow in his native Ramnagar.
Born on August 17, 1947 in Ramnagar of Udhampur district, Prof. Bhim Singh Prof. Bhim Singh has been a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. He was also an MP once. He was in the Congress Party before the formation of the Panthers Party. He was the Vice President of India Youth Congress during the year 1977-78. In 1882, he laid the foundation of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party. After that he went on to become the voice of Jammu and emerged as a universal leader. Pro. Bhim Singh is survived by his wife Jaimala and a son named Ankit Luv. The son lives in London.
