Yasin Malik Terror Funding Case: Yasin Malik sentenced to life imprisonment in terror funding case, fined 10 lakhs


Terrorist Yasin Malik, convicted in the Terror Funding Case, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the NIA Special Court. Also imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh. According to Jagran correspondent Gaurav Bajpai , after Yasin accepted all the charges leveled against him, the NIA Special Court convicted him. The Hurriyat leader and the chief of the banned outfit Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) was on Thursday convicted by a court in the 2017 terror funding case.
Yasin was sentenced in these 9 cases
Advocate Umesh Sharma told that Yasin Malik has been sentenced to life imprisonment twice. He has been sentenced in 9 cases.

Five years under Section 13 of UAPA.
Ten years imprisonment under section 15 and 16 (Terrorist Act) of UAPA.
Under Section 18 of UAPA (conspiracy to commit terrorist act) imprisonment of ten years and fine of ten thousand.
Under Section 20 of UAPA (being a member of a terrorist gang or organization) imprisonment of ten years and a fine of ten thousand.
Imprisonment for five years and fine of five years under Section 38 and 39 of UAPA.
Imprisonment of ten years and fine of ten thousand under IPC section-120B (criminal conspiracy).
Imprisonment of ten years and fine of ten thousand under Section-121A of IPC (spreading hysteria against the nation).
Ten years imprisonment under IPC section 121A (sedition).
Let us inform that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has demanded capital punishment for Yasin Malik in the terror funding case.
Meanwhile Before the verdict of punishment, people outside Yasin Malik’s house have pelted stones on the security forces, and also raised slogans. As the ruckus escalated, the security forces opened fire and fired tear gas shells.
