Protests against the killing of Rahul Bhat continue in Srinagar, demand for cancellation of PM package bond

In protest against the killing of Kashmiri Pandit government employee Rahul Bhat, the employees of PM Package also demonstrated in the Press Enclave of Srinagar on Wednesday. The Kashmiri Pandit employees sitting on a dharna here said that the bonds of the PM package should be cancelled and they should be shifted to safer places at the earliest.
The protesters raised slogans against the Lieutenant Governor and the BJP government. He said targeted killings of innocents have been taking place for a few months now. If the government claims that the situation is fine, then why is the graph of targeted killings increasing in the Valley. Till the situation here does not improve completely, at the time of appointment, a strict unconstitutional bond was written to the employees that if anything happens to you, you will not leave Kashmir, it should be cancelled.
Kashmiri Pandit employees said that wherever the minority employee feels unsafe, he should be given posting of his own choice and all the transit camps here, which have been made detention centers, should be opened soon so that they can lead a normal life. Thay said that we are treated like bonded labour.

Another protester said, the government had said that they will provide accommodation, but today the situation is that three people are staying in each room in the transit camps. Even today we are giving 10-10 thousand in rented houses whereas we get HRA only 2400. Avinash said that our biggest issue is that till the situation is not right here, we should be shifted from here to Jammu.
