Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting today in the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the security preparations for Shri Amarnath Yatra. During this, he took information from the officials about the preparations being made for the visit of Baba Barfani and gave necessary instructions to him.
This time Shri Amarnath Yatra is going to start from 30th June. This journey is going to start after two years. The Jammu and Kashmir government and administration are making constant efforts to make the Yatra accessible. The cave of Baba Amarnath is located at an altitude of 3,888 meters in South Kashmir. The yatra could not take place in the year 2021 and 2020 due to corona virus infection. At the same time, in the year 2019, before the abolition of most of the provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution, this yatra was ended sooner than the scheduled time.
