SITUATION WORSENING
The sequence of events currently happening in Valley and elsewhere in J&K with regard to terror activities need to tackle with firm mindset as things seem to be going berserk with terror mongers carrying out attacks on their free will and at their places of choice. The wee hour attack on CISF bus carrying jawans in Jammu’s Sunjwan area yesterday in which one ASI was martyred and several others injured, and another one in Nowgam area of Srinagar outskirts wherein two West Bengal labourers received injuries and many others in the recent past are telling about the sordid state of affairs in the UT which is contradictory to the narrative being set-up that terrorism has been tamed effectively. There is no doubt that the perpetrators of the crime in Srinagar’s Nowgam area will soon be behind the bars or will be dispatched to the other world by the security forces but the point is that the terror mongers and the their mentors are doing what they want and the security forces are struggling to stop them from accomplishing such ghastly acts. What is disturbing is the fact that the terror mongers have shown their presence in every nook and corner of the UT of J&K thus calling for a renewed strategy to teach them a lesson of life. Under the present circumstances it has become imperative that government should redraw its strategy and bring in more vigour and vitality to counter the terror with synergy and efficacy. The terror incident just before the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi shows that more has to be done to clear the mess from the soil of J&K UT as what is seen on surface is not the real picture rather the situation is critical with many layers of terror mongers working overtly and covertly to dent the interest of the UT. There is no doubt that with the country being steered by the strong personalities like PM Narendra Modi, HM Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is in safe hands but there is dire need to act against the scourge of terrorism as soon as possible because the situation is getting worse from bad with each passing day.
