Farooq Khan appreciates AWWs for their services during covid pandemic
Distributes aid among poor and needy families
SRINAGAR, MAY 31: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan today appreciated the Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) for rendering altruistic services during prevailing covid pandemic.
He asked them to continue their good work for the general good of the humanity as their contribution has been acknowledged by everyone including the LG himself. He extended his gratitude to these workers on behalf of the administration.
The Advisor Khan said that he prays for their good health and prosperity.
On the occasion the Advisor distributed tablets among the workers of Srinagar district that would assist them and make their work easy and effective.
Later on he also distributed food kits and other assistance to poor and needy whose livelihood got affected by the ensuing pandemic. The assistance material was provided by an NGO working under the name and style of ELFA International.
The event was also attended by Director Social Welfare, Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Dar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Haneef Balkhi, CDPOs of Srinagar district and other officers and officials of the Social Welfare department.
