Jammu Division Schools hold Mega Virtual Parent Teacher Meet (PTM)
JAMMU, MAY 29: A mega Parent Teacher Meet (PTM) was organized by more than 10 thousand government schools of Jammu Division through virtual mode amid the COVID restrictions and in adherence to guidelines and closure of educational institutions.
The teachers were oriented in advance about the issues to be discussed with parents like COVID SoPs, performance/attendance of learners in online classes to mitigate the academic loss, following physical and mental wellness routines/advisories issued by counselling and Fit India cell, academic mentoring for those who are in no network areas via tele-counselling helpline (6006800068) and assistance of parents in providing date of learners for Post Matric Scholarships etc.
Pertinent to mention here that the virtual event was a huge success as parents/guardians joined the interactive session in large numbers. The PTM, which is a monthly exercise, was attended and coordinated by HOIs, Teachers, DNOs, DCCs, ZCCs, PTF members.
Director School Education Jammu welcomed the commitment shown by HOIs, teachers and parents who participated in virtual meet and added that such meetings are necessary to keep all stakeholders motivated. Vigilant and informed parents can encourage their wards to invest time in virtual learning till the schools reopen, he further added.
